Jyothirmayi is currently working with director Sundar C as heroine in Thalainagaram,

Jyothirmayi says, 'there are enough Malayalee girls trying their luck in Kollywood. They are good friends and I feel it would be a healthy competition between us'.

Having won accolades for her roles in Malayalam movies, why did she choose to do an item number in Idhaya Thirudan? Jyothirmayi says, 'I wanted a break. It gave me an entry into Tamil. What's wrong in accepting it?’ she asks.

‘I am here to do many more movies and carve a place for myself,says a confident Jyothirmayi.
